From the hotel opening, it was always our intention to create state-of-the-art experiences and in order to do that we need to work on the development of the product within the destination and create product experiences that first, match our destination’s DNA, second, meet high standards for quality, and last but not least, are tailored to certain markets or market segments. To make this happen, we need to involve and work closely with locals and other stakeholders responsible for delivering these experiences.
Cornaro Hotel launched the „Love Local, Love Split“ to build awareness of how important it is to support the local business community as well as provide programs and activities to help local businesses, traditions, and culture.
Local ownership, management structure, and staff in the hotel, the use of local suppliers, hotel design, central city location, and the Dalmatian focus of the restaurant gourmet offer based on the traditional recipes, local products and ingredients are combining hotel’s strong connections with the community and are all creating our brand’s authenticity.
The hotel’s ownership, management, and staff structure are fully locally based, which brings local knowledge and is an added value to the authenticity of the hotel and its connections with the community. We believe that this is a key feature of the authentic experience and a value-add for guests.
Cornaro’s good practices – caring for people and the environment are integrated into the company’s core business and Cornaro’s commitment to local staff and suppliers is highlighting the value of this commitment to guests.
Our entire staff lives in Split or the city’s immediate vicinity. We love helping guests make the most of their stay by offering unique insights into the city and region’s hidden gems. The majority of our staff have worked in the hotel since opening with high satisfaction rates. We are motivated and committed to delivering an excellent local and professional guest experience.
Our local staff and local supplier policies mean that we support a large number of households and the local economy every year.
